CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Since our meeting on June 4th, we have had 2 additional meetings with CCHR.  At each meeting the County presented, essentially, the same offers they originated with.  It has become clear, despite our ongoing efforts, we are not going to be offered a fair contract.  For that reason, we have declared an impasse.  Our next step is to begin the selection process for a fact finder. I ask that you remain patient and remember that while we are working for the best possible outcome, this is a lengthy process, and it is not likely to resolve quickly.  We are in close contact with the Prosecutors Union leadership and SEIU’s leadership, to ensure we are all working for a strong, positive outcome for our members.  I will post periodic updates as they become available.
